As I write this letter, I don't believe any of us can forget the shock and devastation that was brought to bear by this sudden disaster. I don't know of anyone who was at all prepared for such overwhelming destruction. And yet, in a very short time, we began to recover, restore, and reclaim our daily lives.
The outpouring of help, relief, and genuine caring has left us an incredible legacy of generosity of spirit, and life-long memories of the kind heartedness of people in our very midst.
We at Larlyn are particularly grateful for the support of vendors like yourselves, who went the extra distance to help our clients, when and where it was needed ... without question and without complaint. We have used the services of JAS Electrical Contractors for our home renovation work and found them to be prompt, courteous and very efficient. Our reno was right in the middle of a very busy time for everyone during the "great floods of 2005", but they made time for us around all of their emergency repair work elsewhere in the city. I wanted to write to and extend our thanks your staff for the service that we received during our inspection. Your employees are modest and say that they were just doing their job- but they went above and beyond and delivered a standard of service seldom seen.
The communication between your staff and ours was excellent. Everybody was kept in the loop and made aware of what was happening at all times. When the electrician showed up he made notes for future use. The sprinkler fitters tagged everything so that we can tell at a glance what was done and the date. These small things (and many others) help to instill confidence and do not go unnoticed. We have been in this building for a decade and these things have never been done. Throughout the day we were kept appraised of what was happening and the schedule. At the end of the day we were always asked "do you have any questions for us" prior to their departure. It may seem small- but it makes all the difference to us.
I thought that you might find some interest in the reason that we had JAS quote and ultimately chose you. One of our maintenance staff who is very detailed oriented lives in a condo serviced by your company. During the many years he has been there he was impressed by the thoroughness of your staff and their attention to detail and customer service. This was the ultimate factor that lead to our choosing you and I am happy for the referral. Please do extend our thanks to your staff.

I would like to say that I was impressed with the work thus far. Doug and his apprentice (I didn't get her name) were quick, clean and professional. I forgot to tell him where I wanted the fan in the bathroom but he put exactly where I wanted it. I am able to run the vent out through the bulkhead and then out through the joists. This showed me that he actually put some thought into it rather than just slapping it up.
